History is a compulsory subject in Years 7 - 10.
Students study history for one semester in Years 7, 8 and 9 and for the whole year in Year 10. In Years 11 and 12, students can choose to study Modern and / or Ancient History.
Students are provided with an assessment outline at the beginning of each semester (or the years for Years 10, 11 and 12).
Students are expected to work with enthusiasm and diligence in the classroom.
In the senior years, the Preliminary courses in Ancient and Modern History provide students with the opportunity to study civilisations and countries not covered in the junior courses. After successfully completing the Preliminary course/s, students may elect to undertake an additional unit of History - Extension History.
